A Star

For those who do not know, this is the place where unfortunate historical event happened on 1 December 1976. On 1 December, at around 8 p.m., four serial killers attacked the Abhyankar's family in this bunglow Smriti on Bhandarkar road. There were five people at the house at that time: noted Sanskrit scholar Kashinath Shastri Abhyankar (88), his wife Indirabai (76), their maid Sakubai Wagh (60), granddaughter Jai (21) and grandson Dhananjay (19). They all were murdered. The infamous event shook whole Pune city at that time. Now they run Badhir Mook Kendra there (School for Deaf and Mute)
