I had suffered from gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD) for several years. After an endoscopy revealed a hiatal hernia, a consultation with Dr. Girish Bapat was recommended by my physician. He explained the problem and the need for surgery very calmly and simply, and put me at ease. He performed the surgery laparoscopically, and I felt strong enough to return home two days afterwards. Dr. Bapat always responded to my phone calls, and was kind and reassuring in listening to my questions and concerns. He also provided prompt post- operative care, including dietary guidance. I highly recommend Dr. Bapat for his dedication, skill and ability to develop a rapport with his patients.

My mom was suffering from Incisional Hernia and as we were new to the Pune City we were looking for a experience surgeon. My sister (been a docter) recommended me to visit Girish Bapat sir saying he is the best in the city and very very decent and good nature human being. My mom had multiple cesarean in the past, we went to Girish Bapat sir and he said there is nothing to worry and was very much clear about the surgery that we will do Open Surgery and he said my mom will be discharged within 2-3 days. He performed Abdomen Wall Repair Open repair of Incisional Hernia Repair Divarication and everything went so smooth. We got discharge before 1 day of planned stay. We can feel even after open surgery my mom is walking on its own within few days after the surgery that shows his skills and perfection. No words can describe my gratitude towards Bapat Sir but few qualities for others to know. - He listens very patiently to all concerns and explains the problem and solution very well - He is very polite, trustworthy , very humble and kind person - Picks up the phone calls any time and answers to your queries - No doubt he is best at what we does. - Un-comparable doctor, he can won our trust with his single interaction. My mother was having from acid reflux and heartburn. After Endoscopy she was diagnosed with Hiatus Hernia. On consulting Dr Girish Bapat we were confident and secured about the treatment( Nissen Fundoplication). Bapat Sir's lkindness, caring and concern guided us throughout the entire procedure. After the surgery my mother was discharged the next day. I also thank Dr Suchit Kamlapur who is guided us with the diet from time to time. My mother is recovering now and she does not have any acid reflux or heartburn. We are grateful to Dr Girish for his care and support. He is the best surgeon. My father suffered from the sudden development of stones in the gall bladder in December. He is 80 years of age and has other ailments which come with age. Our family doctor recommended Gall bladder surgery. We consulted Dr.Bapat and from the very first phone call, we could rest assured that our father is in safe hands. Dr.Bapat mindfully asked us to carry out all the necessary tests to ascertain whether my father is fit enough for the surgery. Thankfully, all of the reports were normal and the day of the operation was fixed. Dr.Bapat suggested different hospitals and carefully explained to us what the best option would be. We are glad to have taken his advice, it proved to be yet another considerable decision by him. Unfortunately, a few complications arose. Dr.Bapat dealt with them with expertise and patience.
