One of the premier institutions in India. It is great institution with notable almumi and good education quality when it comes to film industry. Also it is situated at good location of Pune city. Well connected from airport and railway and bus station.

Good place for people who want to get into Film/Television industry. The venue also happens to be a good location for shooting films. The campus is vast, well maintained and clean. Though there is a lot of problem of mosquitoes in this are which can be quite irritating. There are interesting graffitis made by students on some buildings and nice artworks too

India's premier institute offering courses ranging from filmmaking, acting, direction, cinematography to editing, film appreciation and a lot more related fields, is a nature lover's paradise. Set amidst the calm setting, in the lap of the western ghats in Pune, the campus invites you to become a student here. It is built on the campus of the erstwhile Prabhat studio and boasts of being a training ground of some of India's finest cinema and television personalities. FTII runs many long term and short term, full time and weekend courses on campus, as well as across the country.

The air is different. The sunshine is different. The buildings, the trees, the internal roads everything is different. I would have loved to be a part of their student community. That couldn't happen but I love going here for different programmes. They have various short duration courses for teaching technical aspects of film making, film appreciation courses and also appreciation courses dedicated to different actors. All their full time courses are PG courses but short courses are open for all.
