Extortion specialists. They stay in hiding, don't put up any signboards or don't try to draw your attention in any manner. And they primarily target outstation cabs since the drivers wouldn't even dream that there could be a toll booth within a relatively small city. That too, in this manner, where it is just a hut by the side of the road, without any advance signboards or any indicators. We were followed by a goon type extortionist and he asked for cash payment only. Our driver didn't have cash, and he actually took him to a far flung atm leaving us at risk. Have raised a major Public Grievance against him, hope that justice will be done.

It would be great if a single lane is dedicated for tax collection. This block always leads to traffic jam. Relocating or expanding the road will help a good deal. The tax collected should be put to good use.
Always blocking at peak hours to make lot of traffic. There is always only 1 person for 2 lanes which restricts traffic to move very slow. Can be a lot better if there are at least 2 people for 2 lanes.
This is one of the pathetic process defense and govt has started to harrass the common people. At peak hours cab drivers block all 2 lanes to pay this toll. Operators of this toll is very inefficient and takes long time to clear the queue which causes lot of hardship to other travelers. Just adding to traffic jam. State govt or concerned authorities should device some better method like providing yearly amount to defence.
This particular toll is always clogged up with vehicles due to unavailability of adequate staff at this busy location. There is absolutely no facilities in this toll even though they charge exorbitant amount of fixed toll from lightest of vehicles.
Most of the cantonment tolls in Pune are completely fraud. They won't stop you at the toll booth bit will chase you just after you cross them. In generally the toll costs 30 rupees but they won't be happy with the small amount so they'll do there best to charge 220 Indian rupees of the fine when you cross the toll. Most of the people who are traveling for the first time won't be able to recognize the toll booth or the signage board. They have purposely made such dull signages.
they should only consider one line of vehicles when traffic is at peak.
