Maharashtra Academic Authority, popularly known as MAA is located in Pune on Kumthekar Road, Sadashiv Peth. Previously, it was known as State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). Its prime responsibility is taking care of capacity building/training need of Education Department. It has got many departments amongst which Research, Teacher Training, Education Cell etc are the most important ones. At district level, it has got DIETS. Officers of the Department has received many state and national awards. It used to conduct training programmes for officers at different levels in the all spheres of education.

This is generally called as Vidhya Parishad. This is basically a training centre for primary school teachers of maharashtra government. The atmosphere is very silent. Always neat and clean. Always well maintained. You hardly find government authority hostel such well maintained. Easily accessible as it is situated in Sadashiv Peth i.e in main pune city. Just opposite to pmpml bus stop so there is no problem of transportation at all.
