The Business in the field of Wastewater Treatment Projects: During last few years, in situ recycling of wastewater is made compulsory by government in all cities. The housing colonies and factories cannot get necessary government approvals unless they install sewage treatment plant to treat sewage water generated in their premises and reuse it for non-potable purposes like gardening, toilet flushing and industrial use etc. It has been also notified through Maharashtra Government Resolution no. SNA-2010/CR-132/WS-22 dated 19th June 2010 section D (iii) page number 9 that drinking water is not to be used for gardening, floor washing, construction and other nonpotable purpose. Pune Municipal Corporation is planning to grant 20 % discount on property tax if the housing colonies / companies install STP and reuse the treated water. The legislation in this regard is already in process.
