In India as we Move ahead from city to city, we have different Food Tastes and different styles of cooking the same Cuisine. Keeping this in mind, South Lagoon is here in Baner keeping in mind all the tastes of the the Southern part of India. They have cuisines from different states with a perfect state-wise Authentic Tastes of the different cuisines around from Chef Venkatesh. It was an amazing Experience stopping by at South Lagoon to fill my South Indian Cravings. Starting with the MEGALU VARUTHA RASAM , as a welcome drink, we were soo much acquinted to the taste at the beggining only. For the Starters we ordered CAULIFLOWER 65 and PACHA MELAGAI PALKAATTI PERATAL. The Cauliflower 65 was served with Authentic Chutneys, but the Paneer wasn't that great also it was a bit Hard to chew. For the Mains, we ordered VEGETABLE STEW curry and TOMATO Rice. Every item had that perfect south Indian Curry Leave Blend. and I would definitely recommend it. Also Vegetable Stew was served with fluffy and soft APPAMS and MALABAR PARATHA. I had one of the best Appams in Pune. To end with a Sweet Tooth, we had hot piping Gulab Jamuns. The staff here is very friendly and co-operative. Overall... Food - 4/5 Ambience -3.5/5 Service - 4/5

South Lagoon As the name suggest this place serves amazing south food. So I visited this place with mu buddies to explore this place. After entering the place it really felt like south place because they have a beautiful pictures on the walls which are related to south people. The ambience is really good and proper. So at starting we had lemon rassam which was hot and sour in taste. But it was really good. Tried this first time in my life. Then coming to the starters we had 1)Cauliflower 65 2)Guntur Kodi 3)Natholi Crispy Fry Every starter was cooked upto mark and the taste was also good. But personally I loved the natholi crispy fry (actually its a fish named mandeli which is small in size) it really has a good taste. A must try item over here. Then for the main course we had. 1)Chicken Kurma 2)Meen Colombo 3)Lemon Rice 4)Appam 5)Malabar Paratha The Chicken kurma was the bestest item I have had here. The taste was just mind blowing. And It tasted so good with appam and Malabar Paratha. Meen Colombo and Lemon Rice were also good in taste. And atlast we had Coconut Jaggery Pudding in dessert which is a must try item. Overall a very awesome place . Service and staff is also good.

Newly opened up in Baner , south lagoon has brought south indian food to whole another level. During my visit i had some amazing food here. I ordered lemon rice , chicken Chettinad , fish moilee , malabar parathas , neer dosa and lots of filter coffee which is just awesome here. Chicken Chettinad had true South Indian flavours and i could tell that by just the aroma of it. Kesari was my favourite here. It just melted in my mouth and was not high on sugar which is perfect. Malabar parathas were crispy and flaky which is how it supposed to be . Lemon rice were pretty good in quantity for 99 and had a good taste. Highly recommended this place for some good food

This newly opened place in Baner has brought South Indian food to another level. I had an amazing experience while I visited this place. During my visit to this restaurant we tried quite a few items starting with MEGALU VARUTHA RASAM. It was delicious and spices on point. Starters included CAULIFLOWER 65 and PACHA MELAGAI PALKAATTI PERATAL which was some paneer based item. Both were very good to taste and very yummy. Main course had CABBAGE PORIYAL, VEGETABLE STEW and TOMATO Rice. Every item had that perfect south Indian cuisine touch and I would definitely recommend it. For breads we ordered APPAMS and MALABAR PARATHA. Both were really soft and nicely cooked. We ended our meal with mouthwatering GULAB JAMUNS. They were so soft and tempting. Overall i would definitely like to recommend this place if you wanna enjoy some really delicious South Indian cuisine
