My baby is about 1.5 months now and I would like to thank Dr. Chinmay and his team at Umarji for the helping bringing him into this world via normal delivery. One of things that I really wanted during my delivery was to have my husband by my side. This is something that you would think would be rare to find in India. However, I came across Umarji after reading online reviews and also realized this is something that is allowed and encouraged here. When we first met Dr. Chinmay, we knew we wanted our delivery under his supervision. He had such positive energy about him. We switched to Umarji at our 7th month of pregnancy. I had put on during my pregnancy and i was never told it is going to be a normal delivery or a C-section. But was made to understand it will be based on the situation. The team at Umarji is absolutely awesome. The counseling is world class I would say. I benefited a lot with free webinars, consultations with Nutritionist and lactation consultant way before the pregnancy. I had a water break at about 4am in the morning and admitted myself. Even before the D-day, we knew normal delivery is highly encouraged at Umarji. However, the length to which the team at Umarji went to try and enable a normal delivery is really commendable. The staff were so supportive. I had labor of more than 14hours But never was I even suggested for a C-section or any additional pain reliever that i didn't need. Finally when my baby was crowning, Dr. Chinmay came and pulled the little one out while making jokes to distract me. I also couldn't have done without the amazing support from the nursing staff, being a first time mother.There is so much to write but i don't want to make this too long to read(which i already have). All I can say is just go for Umarji for your delivery and you won't regret it. Thank you again to Dr. Chinmay and his team :-)

Words cannot convey the love and warmth with which the Umarjis and staff care for their patients. We shifted back to Pune from the USA for prenatal care and delivery. 100% of that reason was Dr. Mukta and Dr. Chinmay. What Umarji Hospital has achieved is an amazing blend of old-fashioned bedside manner and wisdom with the latest in modern technology and evidence-based medicine. I worked many years in the medical profession and I don’t generally trust physicians, but I trust the Umarjis. This is probably one of the few hospitals in India where a cesarean delivery is the last and final option. If you want a natural delivery, Umarji will fully support you to achieve this. Our baby daughter was delivered here in March 2019 without complications and we continue to bring our baby here. Even at 3am when the baby is crying and my wife is worried, we make a trip here to see the on-call physician. It has become home for us and we are so grateful to have discovered this hospital. Cannot recommend them enough!

Delivered baby girl in this hospital 2 months back and had a wonderful experience. The doctors are really very good and always focus on normal delivery. Although my pregnancy was smooth but at last moment my water broke and was not getting labour pain. The doctors waited for 20 hours and then induced the pain finally. If there was other hospital I am pretty sure they would have operated me within few hours. Chinmay sir and team kept an eye on possible infections and gave antibiotics time to time. Even we were loosing patience but not the doctors I am very thankful to the team for my normal delivery Would like to recommend this hospital to everyone. Thank you

The best in OBGY care in the city! Dr. Chinmay Umarji sir makes his patients feel so much at ease that one is convinced they are in the best hands when it comes to OBGY issues. As a patient you are encouraged to take decisions regarding the procedures after all the pros and cons are explained well. No decision is forced on you by any doctors. Mental health, apprehensions and anxiety related to delivery or any procedure is considered while treating, which is rarely seen anywhere, resulting in increased number of positive outcomes. The entire staff at Umarji Hospital exude such positive vibes and that really helps during an anxious time such as labour. The cleanliness and hygiene maintained is impeccable. Dr. Chinmay Umarji sir runs a state-of-the-art hospital, keeping all staff and patients very happy. As a doctor myself, I highly recommend this hospital to every woman going through any gynaecological problems or planning a delivery.

Dr chinmay and his team is very helpful and give proper support for normal delivery and help moms for Normal delivery rather than pushing for c sec. staff is well trained and attentive Dr Chinmay and Mukta Mam are very supportive and kind and give proper guidance and assurance. Dr. Chinmay Umarji and his team delivered my baby in February, and it was a great experience. Dr. Chinmay was very caring , supportive, and informative throughout the entire process— starting from our first checkup. Being expats, we were thrilled to find a doctor who would support us in our hope for an all natural birth, and who had great and compassionate bedside manner that we find in the US but struggle to find overseas. We chose the Umarji clinic because of their commitment to support natural birth, low c section rates, and support of breast feeding— and we were not disappointed. From the beginning dr. Chinmay informed us of delivery options and the data to help us make informed decisions, but also listened to our hopes and desires, walking through a detailed birth plan with us, and allowing us to have both dad and doula present during Delievery. We ended up having a natural water delivery in the birthing pool in the hospital, and were well taken care of and supported by Umarji and his team all along the way. The water birth was a great experience- as it helped ease the pain of contractions and Delivery. I would definitely come back to Umarji’s clinic for our next child . Thank you, Dr. Umarji for listening and giving us amazing medical support for our daughters birth.

We had a great experience with Dr. Chinmay Umarji and his team. He always spent the time to patiently answer our questions and clarify any doubts/apprehensions. We had written out a birth plan which the doctor went over with us and they - including the paediatric team - tried to honour our preferences during the birth and after. I had to be medically induced but Dr. Umarji did not rush the induction process (which took over 3 days). Despite that I was able to have a water birth. I'd recommend this hospital - especially if you're looking for a gentle birthing experience.
