Department of Electrical Engineering has a vision to strengthen the faculty to strengthen the education and hence it provides the training for faculty also. Overall, it has been a most enriching experience that will enhance my skills to start up my own business. The course for faculty is technically and commercially oriented. From my experience, this course certainly opened my eyes on the commercial side of electrical contractors. It has been a truly worthwhile experience, one that has complemented my previous experience to a very large extent. I attended the course and found the course very helpful. The Instructor has a good hand in the area. I had a great learning experience and it helped a lot to excel in my career.

We the members of Zeal energy audit and consultancy services are doing frequent energy audits at various locations. But we started this with our own institute. We did it to estimate the energy consumed in a day, week and month. Identification of areas of energy wastage and estimation of energy saving potential in the canteen, all departments and institute central facilities was done by walk-through energy audit. Also, detailed analysis of data collected was done by suggesting cost-effective measures to improve the efficiency of energy use. The detailed analysis with estimation of implementation costs and payback periods for each recommended action was done. This was a nice experience for us to learn and do something new and productive.

Most of the learners are visual learners and they learn by experience. Hence for better learning we in the Electrical Engineering Department of Zeal College of Engineering and Research always develop small experiments and hands on courses for the students. These are the hardware and software courses and we have all necessary infrastructures to conduct these courses. My experience over the years says that inclusion of one week hands on courses in the mid of semester gives the student better insight of the subject and creates interest in learning. Day by day we are designing more such courses and training teachers to conduct these courses. In the next three to five years we will see its positive impact on the student quality.

We have a dedicated training and placement cell for both on campus and off campus placements. The cell and department also focus on making entrepreneurs. The department is developing facilities and courses to make students enable to work initially with Electrical Contractor and then start their own setups. Institute has recruited a separate team of trainers to improve communication skills, aptitude, skills required for group discussion and personal interview. This has resulted in improvement in placement in the last 3-4 years. The department is also helping students to crack public service examination and students are selected in generation, transmission and distribution companies of State Electricity Board

Well qualified faculty members adapting innovative pedagogy is the USP of the institute. A blend of teaching/learning with live examples, case studies and thinking-out of box activities triggers the creativity and innovative mind of the student. Academics-Placement-Infrastructure trio helps the students to gain the knowledge from all perspective. Many eminent persons from industries, academicians and Guests speakers are often called to conduct guests sessions. Experiential leaning in form of industrial visit, court visit, mall visit are part of regular academics.

The Training and Placement Center is very well coordinated and planned. It hosts separate cabins for interviews with AC. This has a supporting team and has 100 computer technology laboratories for online aptitude testing. Each year various companies come to the campus. Students like Microsoft, Infosys, IBM, TCS, etc. are put in MNC's. Small-scale businesses also execute recruitment drives to help students get their job.

Zeal Polytechnic's electrical department always encourage us to take part in different competitions. We participate in various competitions and got prizes in paper presentation, poster presentation, technical quiz, drama, dance, sports. Zeal Polytechnic won 4 times in a row IEDSSA kho-kho zonal competition. All students passed with excellent grades in their examinations.

I was both amazed and shocked when I saw lot of news of Zeal Education Society on news channels. They created largest human map using more than 4500 students in year 2020. My son also participated in that event, a proud moment for me. After few days I checked website of Zeal Polytechnic. They have given lot of accesses and information on the portal, such as library e-books facility, recently conducted events, sports activity, awards etc. I am always at outstation due to job requirements so I was not able to visit Zeal Polytechnic where my son had taken admission. For initial information, I visited their website and there I saw infrastructure of each departmental lab, classroom, Academic Calender, faculties’ qualifications their contact details and so on. I was impressed to see the ERP system where I can daily check my son's attendance and performance. I am very happy that my son has taken admission in this reputed institution.. I am sure that he has a very bright future here..
