My wife and I visited for our first wedding anniversary and I haven’t had so much fun in a long time. It was so relaxing being pushed around the lovely Ornamental Lake. The boats are so stable and comfortable you could fall asleep on them. Funnily enough the owners told us that people have booked a ride for exactly that. Our guide was a young man named Ton and he did an excellent job. He was so polite and has a wonderful speaking voice, it added to the relaxation. He was also very knowledgeable about the lake along with its plant and animal life. There’s quite a bit of history out there and the amount of wildlife on display is really something to see and I suggest you do. We will definitely be going again, I just don’t think we’ll wait until the next anniversary. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic experience!! The punt moves in a surprisingly slow and steady motion. Whilst gliding around the lake, you get gorgeous, unique views of the botanic gardens, trees and bird life. Wesley and Yami are clearly passionate about the service they provide- happy to share their knowledge, flexible with bookings and they even took photos for us. Highly recommended!!

Definitely a little secret that makes you feel awe! Such a fun, cute ride amidst the lush greens of the Royal Botanic Gardens- with a guide who walks you through about the history of the “ornamental lake”, the birds, the swans and green turtles. Also, extra points for the umbrella

I cannot recommend this enough! Our punter Wesley is an absolute gem and so knowledgable about all the plants and animals at the Royal Botanic Gardens. The Punt ride is simply magical, complete serenity at its finest. The perfect thing to do on a lovely day in Melbourne. Thanks very much Punting on the Lake!

Oh, that was a nice day out. Admittedly, this was a gift, coz it's a little pricey. A gorgeous day, a very likeable puntsman, a well behaved dog, lunch and a cheeky G&T we brought with us.

This was a wonderful experience, highly recommend! We booked a ride for my partner's birthday and he loved it. Wesley is very personable and full of interesting stories. He also pointed out many birds and nests and wildlife. It was fascinating and not at all dry or boring. It was sprinkling a little but they had a nice warm blanket and umbrella, we had no problems and were extremely comfortable. I was also nine months pregnant and the punt was very stable and both Wesley and the charming lady at the booth (I didn't get her name, but she was kind enough to hold off our punt ride till I could use the bathroom again) helped me in and out. If you're worried about comfort I don't think you need to be, I've had back pain, etc, but the seats were really comfortable. There's plenty to see, and Wesley will definitely keep you entertained, it's well worth the money!
