Finding the right words to express our gratitude and love for Purl is difficult because without them, I would not be sitting here holding our baby girl. The world of adoption is tricky and working with Katie made us feel like we suddenly had a road map to guide us on the journey. Katie provided the push that we needed while minimizing risks. Katie has been absolutely amazing in her support of our family and we feel so fortunate to have met her! Just prior to meeting her we were feeling a bit defeated and down in our adoption journey.... that all changed when Katie was suggested by a mutual friend and she was such a breath of fresh air! Katie immediately met with us and had us feeling encouraged and empowered from the very first meeting (mind you this was prior to our even procuring her service). She brought a huge amount of positive energy, a sense of empathy for what we were going through, and a strategy for moving forward. When our friends would ask how things were going, as they often would, our answer was completely different after we met Katie! We liked to tell them that it was going great for a change... and that we had seen more activity, more opportunities and taken more action on our journey in the last X number of weeks since meeting her then we had in the previous 18 months of going it alone! Katie was also there with us for emotional support and offering a great feel for what we would need to be prepared for at each stage of our journey. This includes the everything up to and after we came home with our daughter. We really feel like we gained this amazing friend coming through this process and are thankful every day that we were connected to her! I'm certain you will feel the same way after working with her!
I cannot say enough about Katie! We started our adoption journey alone about a year before we met her with NO leads. As soon as we hired her, she had options for us constantly, was always there to ask questions and really helped SOOO much during the process. We had no idea how complicated and confusing the adoption process could be. If/when we adopt again, she will be our very first call. She is worth every penny! I have worked one on one with Purl and Katie for a while now and I can honestly say she is one of the most hard working and honest figures in the adoption world. As a placement coordinator for an adoption agency it is my job to ensure the families I work with are trustworthy and honest to allow for the best matches with expectant families, and Katie makes sure that this is the case. Katie makes the entire process much smoother by preparing every family for the entire process, as well as all possible scenarios, and is a kind shoulder to lean on in times of hardship. Anytime she sends a prospective family my way I know they will be prepared and this makes the process much faster for them to become an active family with our agency. I would recommend Purl to all clients as well as any adoption professionals looking for an advisor!
