Interesting to see reviews with no full names! When we moved from abroad last year, Oakwood was recommended by some friends. Our oldest kids in school just had the chance to be for few months before going to Secondary School, but the School offered them not only a solid academic program, but a nurturing environment that made the transition to a new country very pleasant. With one kid with special needs, the inclusion was total, he was made part of every activity and received a fair treatment. For the first time in his education, he felt a part of the group. Once, we had a bullying incident against our son, and the classroom teacher and the management dealt with it immediately and effectively, protecting not only our child but also taking care of setting the corrective measures with the other two kids. We still have one kid at Oakwood, and could not be happier with our choice. Our daughter is getting stronger in maths and Literature, but also growing in maturity. Following the recommendations of our friends was the best decision for our kids' education. Very grateful to the school.

Best primary school around. Looking back on my memories there I see how privileged I was as young lad to attend this school. In countless conversations with friends from secondary school we have compared our experiences and our memories of primary school and Oakwood, without exception, has always been the most desirable place for a child to grow up in the opinions of both parties. I can’t think of anything that a child would need, that isn’t available, either from the wonderful staff or from the school as a whole. This school, a home for the hearts of all pupils who have attended, offers all that a child, growing up in the modern world will need. The virtues that are taught and the character development that the pupils receive means that each and every one of them can grow into fine members of today’s society, and can change it for the better.

Wow!!! A friend recently alerted me as to what was going on with the reviews page for this school so I decided to check in person. Simply unbelievable! Nobody had ever bothered sharing their opinions or rating Oakwood until, very recently, some obviously unhappy parent did so. And suddenly, as if by magic, the whole herd is summoned and commanded to leave 5 stars reviews....Of course the herd oblige, they always do. So very typical of Oakwood and their constant need to exercise supreme control on everything and everyone. For those interested in a real view, I must point out that most of those who suddenly felt the urge to share their thoughts on Oakwood are closely connected to \The Family\, as we used to call them, one way or the other (employees, board, opus dei). Of course they had a great time there and a very easy, smooth ride. The rest of us? Not so much, constantly overlooked and often bullied by the untouchable ones who wasted no time in making clear to all their privileged status. Character Development? Tutorials? As if! Brainwashing exercise more like it. If it's a democratic, just, balanced and carefree educational environment you are seeking for your children you should really seek elsewhere.

I went to Oakwood from year 1 to year 6 and really enjoyed my time there. It was exactly the start I needed in life and looking back on it, I owe a lot of my successes in life to the fantastic early start I had. I'll never forget studying for entrance exams to grammar schools and the head tutoring me 1-1 using his break times and after school hours. Unfortunately this wouldn't be possible anymore due to how the school has grown since I was there but it shows you how much Oakwood wants you to succeed.

I had heard a lot about Oakwood School over many years and it struck me as the kind of school I would have loved to have gone to as a child. When my wife and I had the opportunity to move to south London and send our children to Oakwood we did not hesitate and have never looked back. What an amazing school!! The impact on our children and our own lives as parents has been tremendous. One cannot put a price tag on the value of the education the children receive. While academic attainment and development are very strong at the school, the formation of character and helping each individual to grow in virtue are regarded as just as important. Oakwood School is a wonderful place that provides an invaluable service for its children, their parents and families and the whole community.
