Garage Stevens changed the engine mount, clutch and tires on a 1991 Alfa Spider. The car is in worse condition after the service than before, both mechanically and cosmetically. The work was performed badly and negligently, the APK is questionable, there is no accountability and the warranty is not honored. The front right fender was filthy and scratched by the mechanic leaning over the fender without any protection when changing the engine mount. Similarly all four wheels were filthy and scratched. There is now noise from the clutch and transmission that wasn't there before. The gear lever is completely lopsided so 4th gear looks like 2nd. Garage Stevens left the oil vapor separator hose completely disconnected, throwing gunk all over the engine bay and causing a continuous and profuse oil leak from the oil cap. The rear muffler support was completely broken. The rear bumper was scraped on the ground. The spark plug wire holder cover was removed from the car and not put back. All four wheels are incorrectly balanced, so the car vibrates violently at around 80kmh. There was no coolant in the expansion tank. The power steering belt is damaged. Despite all of these issues and the car not being roadworthy, Garage Stevens let the car pass the APK. We have reported Garage Stevens to the RDW for the questionable APK and are taking legal action concerning the substandard and negligent repairs.
