I've heard it said that donating blood is an altruistic act. True. Yet I do it for the Cantina and the welcoming staff. Additionally I do it to make a difference in my community And as a bonus it is no effort on my part. I mean really.. I'm sitting around living my life creating fabulous red blood cells nestled in nutritious plasma . So if I pour a little off for my fellow man / woman, I'll just make some more. Just keep my fave cookies and cranberry juice.

My husband donates blood monthly to manage his blood levels and went to this particular place to donate while we were traveling. They gave him all kinds of grief about needing a form from his doctor because he was out of state and then when he was done- THEY CHARGED HIM 100! No one has EVER charged him to DONATE blood before. We will never go back.

I wished they would have told me they had vital signs parameters before I arranged transportation to their office. Because my pulse was two beats under 50 beats per minute they refused to draw my blood. Now I wonder what other parameters they will adopt without first notifying their clients.

The ladies here are super sweet! The entire staff from the front desk to the floor made me feel welcome and at ease. I have to admit, I was super nervous but they help calm me down by just simply being sweet. Very informative as to what's going. Great experience!
