Kilgore falls is beautiful and a great escape....if you can come during the week I highly suggest that as this place has become very popular. During certain times of the year you now have to have a permit. Very quick walk from parking lot and kids can make it easily.

Lots of space and trails. Always love coming here. In the summer you need to make a reservation but in the colder seasons it stays fairly not packed.

Nice quick walk, easy for smaller kids too. From the parking lot to waterfall is 10 min on a nice wide trail. You can climb to the top of the falls from a side path. Plenty of room for many people to spread out. The parking lot is small (28 spots) but the park service folks are super and help to que up cars arriving and leaving. Even on a busy Saturday we only waited 5-10 min for a spot.

Wonderful place to hike and take a little swim by the waterfall! Went by myself a few times and took my pup once, always been a great time! I came at a busy time last time and there is so much open space it didn't feel like I was around people much anyways! Great spot

There are few places in Maryland which is really nice. Falling Branch That's one of the beautiful place where you can go play around with water stay close to nature and have fun.
