Quick and dirty. Fresh fish, good prices and the priceless feeling of a harbour enviroment comes even for free. Not for posh people, all the others go there. We even found someone to sell us tuna belly, he cut it out the tuna right in front of us. Fresh and awesome quality. But you have to order in advance.

Amazing fresh local produce! We bought a kilo of oysters for 7 euros.....for that we got 14 very large oysters that are probably the best ive ever had!

Great selection of fresh fish and sea food, surprisingly warm vendors and well organized for safety during the covid pandemic. Actually think that they should consider keeping some of the measures, like the organized line at the entrance, to avoid the usual chaos inside.

If you are in Quarteira, staying at a house or apartment (or a place where you can cook), and you want to eat really fresh fish, this is the place to go. Really fresh, and the fishmongers will prepare (debone it, take the scales out, etc) the fish to your liking. Totally recommend it.

It is not the biggest fish market you will find in Algarve and due to Covid-19 there is an extensive waiting line outside because not everyone can get in at the same time. Although small, you will find a great variety of fresh seafood and fish that you can purchase from different merchants. Sardines (4/kilo) are ridiculously cheap and great on the grill. Tip: ask the merchant the best way to cook the produce you are buying because they know it better than anyone and might throw in some extra things for free like a lemon or coriander leaves

If you want fantastic seafood for a barbecue don't miss this market.
