Michael was an awesome captian and fisherman on the water. He put us on to lots of fish had many great storys and kept the day exciting. He made our day on the boat one of the highlights of our trip. Cant wait to come back and fish with him again!

Michael is likely the best charter captain we've been out fishing with anywhere. It's not just a business for him, he seems to really enjoy being on the water and chatting with new people. Michael knows the west coast of Haida Gwaii and has fishing it down to an art. One of the most productive fishing experiences of my life and I have been fishing the area for many years on vacation. He is a fisherman, so this is a no frills outfit. Stay at one of the lodges is you want to be babysat. He gives you a great fishing experience and leaves the rest at the dock.
My two sons (12 & 16) and I had an amazing day fishing with Michael out in Cartwright Sound. Michael was both knowledgeable and entertaining and we had a very enjoyable and productive day on the water. We all caught our limits by early afternoon and on the whole this was a perfect father-son adventure.
The only fishing guide I go with on Haida Gwaii. Dedicated to sustainable practices, his local knowledge and wit is second to none. He guided me to my biggest ever Spring Salmon and my first halibut. A real character and a true gem of the west coast.
My wife and I enjoyed our time fishing with Michael. He is very knowledgable and obviously cares deeply about the fish and local areas. We limited out early in the day and had a great time. We would definitely recommend his guide service! Ha'awa!
