I had a great experience renting a car thru Island Rentals with Jeff. I typically do TripAdvisor reviews but they are not on there... so here's a Google review. I have to give kudos somehow. After calling around to all the car rental agencies, I decided to go with Island because of the friendly customer service and they also had the best rates. Considering I was calling last minute, and required the car for one week, I was quite happy with the rate that I got. Jeff was quick to respond - by phone is best, flexible, and gave excellent directions to the rental location. The guy who did my paperwork when I picked up the car was Kaleb, he was also accommodating. I got a white Honda Civic. The Civic was pretty new and super clean! There are other vehicles, including trucks, that are a little bit more "used", but those are for different usage. the car I had was just for road and Highway use which was fine. I will be using Island Rentals again upon my return!

Jeff is super easygoing and if you are looking for a rustic rental that you can drive on the logging roads this is your place. Our truck was about 18-20 years old had a crack windshield the whole length 175000 km a broken drivers seat super filthy and smelled so bad even with the windows down I had to take shallow breaths. Radio was broken as was power locks and mirrors. No running board which was challenging as I am 5’2” and it made squealing sounds which my husband thinks was the engine fan. It did get us everywhere we wanted to go so technically it worked.
