Great for carefully constructed French Louisiana Creole dishes. The Gumbo soup is to die for! Nice Bloody Marys, beer and wine selections. Brunch is very popular and now stretches all the way to 5pm. Look out for eating theater presentations, meal plus actors!

Came here for dinner one Sunday night. The place wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. I liked the grilled flank steak salad - the meat was nicely medium rare. Glad that I asked for dressing on the side since it wasn't to my liking - it tasted like plain ol' mustard. A side order of sweet potato fries is large enough for 2 or 3 people to share. The dirty rice was a little soggy, I would not order it again. Service was decent, no complaints on that end.
NOLA theme restaurant in the heart of Long Island City. I've haven't had gumbo in quite some time so out of craving and curiousity I order it from here. The soup was flavorful and exactly what is expected in good gumbo. The portion was a bit small but other than that it was perfect. This is located close to one of the best comedy clubs so a dinner and a show would be a perfect date around this area. I will make a return trip to try their cocktails.
French-Cajun kitchen, the food is delicious! Best place to eat in the area, possibly, one of the best in the whole NY! Very laid-back and friendly atmosphere, you always feel like home here. Try the hearty soup, so rich and flavorful!
I love this place, the interior has a cinematic feel to it but maybe it is just me. Came here for breakfast and lunch before. I've had the Breakfast Burrito here once which was good and also their eggs but you can't mess that up can you. For lunch, I got the 1682 Shrimp Po'boy. Not a big fan of shrimp but it was delicious, fried perfectly and it was a very generous portion. Everything seems more fresher than the typical cafe/diner. Would definitely come back! Wish there would be outlets, they seem to be lacking them since only about 3-4 tables are seated near outlets.
We went here for brunch and I loved it. The place is super cute, and how could you not go to a place called Cranky's?!
A friend and I went here for brunch recently. I had a french beignet with strawberry jam to start. I tried it as a novelty. It was pretty good and something different. The huevo rancheros were different than I've had at our restaurants. It was a bit try. The tortilla chips, while good, didn't quite work in this configuration as it would be better to have them on the side I think. The service was friendly and the venue looked nice. Overall, it was a decent experience.
Really really good sandwiches and burritos. The huevos rancheros provide a filling brunch. The beignet is outstanding, especially in its unadorned form. The shop itself is on a very nice corner: grab a table by a window.
