I take my dog to Carolina Pines almost every day and he loves it! The large dog park is so big, he loves running around and sniffing every inch. I like that there are three sections of the park: one for small dogs, one for medium dogs, and one for big dogs. The park has lots of trees which means lots of shade in the summer! There are also lots of picnic tables and chairs to sit at. My only complaint would be there is not regular maintenance work done. There are often some overgrown areas and tree limbs on the ground. It also gets muddy very easily especially after it rains.

I love this park if your traveling with pets great place to stop. Not far off the highway, gives dogs room to stretch out. Several different fenced areas, so if your pup likes alone time you'll find room for him. The local people were so kind. Area is full of shade for dogs, so I'm sure bugs could be rough on damp days. You might need a jacket on cool days, but the dogs love it... There is a water station and serveral buckets. We travel a lot this is one of best dog parks I have been too.

Love the openness of this park and how shady it is throughout. Just be aware that not every GPS will take you to the exact location of this park. It's towards the back, behind the baseball fields. Everyone I met was always friendly, and most watched their dogs closely. There are pools for the dogs, buckets of water for them to drink from, and potty bags all around. There's also a separate section for smaller dogs. Plenty of seating for you to enjoy while your dog socializes.

Park has separate spaces for small dogs and large dogs but currently there are lots and lots of leaves and pine cones throughout the dog play area. Also, some dog owners did not pick up after their pets. It is ok but could be better.
