Great time! I am not from Raleigh and really wanted to find a bar that would let me watch my Chargers. They went out of their way to accommodate me and it made for an awesome Sunday! I 100% recommend for anyone looking to watch sports and enjoy some well priced drinks.

Most of the time I have a good experience here, but recently I ordered fish gorditas. I took them home to eat and in first bite had a fish bone. I checked and in every single one I found fish bones. Sometimes when you order fresh fish I know that is a possibility, but I just wouldn't expect that in this case...because it's hidden in a taco, right? I wished I had eaten them there so I could have sent them back. Be careful if you order those.
Made reservations for the UFC fight on December 12 for 8 people at 8:30 p.m. ahead of time because we expected large crowds. We arrive at 8:15 and there is not a table available. My husband and I decided to sit outside on the patio and wait for a table. We ordered a drink and then a lady came out and said I have a table ready for you. We get up from our patio table to go sit and when we get inside she tells us that someone else has already been seated at our table. So we now have lost our seats outside. We stand in a back corner, we are offered nothing to drink. Around 9:30 our table buzzer goes off and we walk to the front and again someone has been seated at our table. Again we wait (standing all the while) We were not seated until 10:30. The service was poor, they did not give us anything for our trouble, not even free sodas or appetizers. What is the point of reservations if I still have to wait for 2 hours. I get that it was a busy night but seriously, two times they gave away our table to people who walked in. I will never go back, I am extremely disappointed.
If you love your sports, you can't go wrong with Tobacco Road Sports Cafe. This sports bar and restaurant is known for its plethora of high def panels once you step inside. Pretty much everywhere you look you'll find an LCD or plasma with the latest game on regardless of what your favorite sport is. A row of lazy boys on the side mean you can recline in comfort and enjoy the game with the excitement of a crowd behind you. And all these TV's wouldn't be worthwhile without good food and Tobacco Road Sports dishes out solid bar food. Love their cheesesteak with onion strings as well as their tower of nachos. However, I do think other sports bars may dish out better food but still. Tobacco Road Sports is the home of many local sports team fan clubs so you'll usually find a crowd there. Add in their cool sidewalk patio seating and you can find something to enjoy there! So don't miss out on Tobacco Road Sports once the leaves start falling. Get your sports, great eats and some fun on any given weekend!
This place is always hit or miss for me. Yes, you can see lots and lots of sports here. But their menu seems to always be changing, or at least, parts of it, so when I go, I never know what type of fries I am getting, for example. The buffalo chicken egg rolls are amazing. They don't make their broccoli and cheese soup nearly enough either. If there is a big game on be sure to get their early....some times entire local sports clubs get to reserve half the restaurant, so you have to get there early to get a good table. Sometimes their staff is on point while other times they are way off their game. Like I said, hit or miss.
We were looking forward to a meal at Tobacco Road Sports Cafe. The only reason we were willing to make the drive downtown to give it a try was the buy one entree get one free coupon in the Entertainment Book ... a 16 value. Unfortunately we got there and a sign on the door informed us that the coupons were not being honored. When we asked the hostess why, she said that they were not supposed to be in the Entertainment Book any longer, so the management was not honoring them. This was our first time to the Tobacco Road and I was amazed that the hostess allowed us to walk out without offering us some kind of discount or something, after we explained this was the only reason we had come. She did not though, and so I told her that we'd just go to Five Guys instead so that we could stay within out budget. Due to their lack of how to handle the situation, they saved 16 but they lost a customer permanently ... we will not return.
Good beer selection. Great place to catch a game and play Golden Tee.
The bar tender Amy is the best part of this establishment! The place is great and she has been a great resource for drinks and information on the area!!! She is now our personal bartender of choice!!!
