We had a quick lunch here, and it was so delicious we have immediately booked a table for dinner. The dinner experience was even better. The fish was excellent, and the beef fillet was incredible. Good selection of wines, great location, and the outdoor terrace has a wonderful ambiance in the evening and the service is also very good. Ah, and they prepare the tastiest mussels in Valletta! What else do you need for a wonderful dinner experience? This restaurant is a gem. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our evening meal at Rampila. We were welcomed at the steps with a sanitizer and a very courteous waiter. He ushered us at the table. My one & 1/2 year old was given a sanitized high chair and water was offered right away. Table was nicely set and food was delicious. A very pleasant evening for a romantic meal with good value of money.
Our visit to Rampila was enjoyable, and the staff very friendly. The food was very good and all in all very good value for money. The indoor ambiance makes for a lovely intimate evening especially with the social distance measures being adopted. The terrace looks lovely and will be back to enjoy the views.
I was poisoned at Rampila restaurant, 3 weeks ago. I was taken for lunch by two business colleagues both long-standing customers of Rampila. After looking at the menu, I was informed that the Lampuki fish is a specialty of Malta. Fatefully, I ordered Lampuki. After lunch, I returned to my hotel room nearby and within minutes of arrival began to feel unwell. My head was turning and I felt dizzy and lay on the bed gasping for breath. I tried to get up but just couldn’t. Waves of nausea descended and my heart was beating fast, which I later discovered is a potentially life threatening condition, called tachycardia. Eventually and with great difficulty, I managed to reach for the bedside phone and called for help. Ten minutes later, I was in an ambulance headed to the Emergency Room at the Mater Dei hospital. The doctor in charge of my case, on hearing that I had eaten Lampuki fish, diagnosed Scombroid poisoning. Scombroid is a not uncommon cause of food poisoning that results from the inferior handling and preparation of raw fish such as the Lampuki. I was injected with an antihistamine and placed on a drip. Within a few hours I was released from hospital still feeling shaken and rotten. I returned to my hotel and slept for the next 14 hours. On waking I still felt shaky. Although I have recovered physically, I still suffer nightmares as a result of the memories of panic induced by the Scombroid poisoning. I have reported this matter to Rampila and requested compensation. I supplied them with a medical report but I have heard nothing positive despite writing to them several times. I have not even received an apology. Draw your own conclusion before choosing to dine at Rampila.
A great place for lunch. Service is very quick and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Super food, great ambience especially in the evening. Very friendly staff.
Perfect dining experience. Food impeccable and the staff is super nice!
We absolutely had an amazing night! We were with a big group of 17 girls and chose to have a 3 course menu. The food was delightful and the staff extremely friendly. The terras is nice and cosy. It absolutely feels like you are somewhere in Florence. Although it was a warm night, out on the terras it didn't feel that warm. The wine menu is nice and large, so you have plenty to choose from. I made a reservation a few months before dinner and the mailcontact I had with Alan (the owner?) was really kind. He was helpful and very fast in his response. Thank you for that! When I come back to Malta Rampila is a restaurant that I would't want to miss.
