Great area, fun little spot to set up for a few nights. Only giving 4 stars because the bathrooms wouldn't lock, and it was creepy to not know if someone would walk in on you in the middle of the night (especially as a woman) but it was a beautiful area. Some spots had fire pits. A lot of cholla cactus around, so keep in mind if bringing pets if they're not used to cactus if they're off leash.

Free primitive camping in the high desert. Stayed here on a Friday night and it wasnt crowded with about 4-5 other campsites being used. Some campsites offered better wind protection than others. Seemed like most sites had a bbq pit and fires were allowed, just bring your own firewood.

Nice little spot. Look for the morteros by Peña Spring.

Awesome view of Borrego Springs, via an easy hike. Look for the eel head rock!

Beautiful spot surrounded by mountains. The stars at night were absolutely amazing. Cool areas to explore around the campsite. We found freedom in nature here. Unforgettable memories!
