Great local market! Everything a hiker or passer by needs. Beer garden area to drink outside the store. Lots of alcohol, convince food, ice cream ice, propane soda, candy health supplies oil knives firewood canoeing stuff tobacco products shirts, a giant yeti for photos. Great beer selection, hiker cottages, hot showers. Locally owned and operated. Take and leave a book library. Great place to stop if you are passing by.

So, let me tell y’all how #Amazing this honey is!!! As soon as I opened the lid, the aroma of flowers and honey just slapped me - in a good way. All I needed was like a teaspoon full to go with my tea compared to store the bought, processed ones where I have to squeeze like 3 tablespoons into the cup to get a little bit of honey flavor. . Anyway, I went and ordered a few more jars! This is such a fragrant, delicious and uniquely flavored honey that I just didn’t want to wait for the next harvest/season. You guys are amazing at what you do! Please keep it up! Thank you!

For a small town convenience store in the middle of nowhere, the Montezuma Valley Market sure is a great place to stop! You can get your propane and firewood here on the way to the desert as well as your beer and tobacco. The store carries an excellent selection of beer that never disappoints, as well as soda and other drinks, snacks and food staples, lots of candy and even ice cream and other frozen foods. You can rent or return UHaul trucks and trailers of many kinds here, you can buy wooden outdoor furniture, lotto tickets, scratchers, cbd and nicotine vape supplies and so much more. You can often find random items you need in stock, and if you don’t see what you need just ask! The staff is all super friendly and helpful, and the owners aren’t just interested in creating an excellent experience for folks with their great stock of items and amazing customer service, they are also very invested in making the community a better place overall. Good people, wonderful store and don’t forget, the Yeti aka Rancheti. One last thing, it’s the only public bathroom for miles. We are happy and grateful supporters of the MVM.

Fantastic veteran owned, local market with a surprisingly large variety of anything you might need. We stop here every trip out to the desert to fill up on snacks and the best honey (from local bees raised by the owners!). The owners are super friendly and kind, and always fun to chat with. Don’t forget the giant Yeti out in front! Our out of town visitors really get a kick out of him and must have a picture with him. Overall, a neat little jewel in San Diego’s back country.

If you don't have a really nice conversation with the person working there, you did it wrong. They are so happy you stopped in and looked around. They will answer any questions you have about the area too. We stop in every trip.
