Our personal experience showed that this facility is very poorly run. As another reviewer pointed out, it was very difficult to receive a response to phone calls or emails. Communication (verbal or written) by their Director (and I use the term lightly), was horrible. The lack of professionalism and empathy was horrendous. If residents are more independent, then this place would be fine. But if you need assistance (dressing, grooming, medication administration), we found that it was not always provided. The dining room staff, however, was amazing. They were so kind and aware of eating habits. We so appreciated their attention and thoughtfulness. Unfortunately, the same level of attention was not extended to other areas of the facility and we were quite disappointed. We moved our mother to Bella Villaggio about a mile away and that facility and staff are professional, clean, caring, compassionate and wonderful in so many ways. They were a dream come true for us.

After living there 6 months, my mother's monthly bill has DOUBLED. Its very difficult to get a response from anyone who can explain why or help you understand this. They don't return calls. She needs some additional services, but I have been unable to get an explanation why her bill has doubled. They could be better at helping new residents orient to assisted living life. My mother didn't settle in until about 6 months into her stay, and meanwhile the bills keep going up. I'm looking at alternative places for my mother now. It will be traumatic for her to have to move again, but at the rate Brookdale is billing her, she will run out of money years before we had anticipated. Facility wise, its beautiful, clean and well-maintained. The food is good. The staff is nice.

Staff, services and facility is wonderful, but almost without exception, billing by corporate office was incorrect and always in their favor. My mother checked out mid November 2016 and to date, I am still fighting with them for a billing they did in December. Their billing department is major problem.....and if your mom is on fixed income, it's a problem. Watch your bills!!!!!
