I had a life-altering, life-giving experience at the Betty Ford Center. I encountered consummate professionals at every turn. The level of care and compassion I experienced was nothing short of extraordinary. I heeded the suggestions provided while I was there, and I connected with, and have stayed connected to, fellow alumni since my departure . I am so very grateful to everyone I met at BFC and I am forever thankful for the professional care I received. Thanks to all of you.

The Betty Ford Center 38th anniversary demonstrated that BFC was still able to honor Mrs. Ford's memory and her alumni in these very surreal times. Good speakers, good messages.

I had the most terrifying experience of my life at BHC Rancho Mirage. I was over medicated and ended up in the ER twice. They continued to deny it was from Subboxon medication. I had difficulty breathing and begged them to take me back to detox to take me off the medication. At that point they kicked me out of the program, stating that I had COVID. I was dumped on the streets with no place to go. Terrified and aone, a man that worked at a gas station helped me find the only hotel that was open at the time. Days later BFC called me and said I could come back since they heard my COVID test was negative. I was discharged without any help or referal to a doctor that could give me a new prescription. I almost lost my life and it was only my prayers to my Heavenly Father that saved my life. A man named Carl tried to kick me out for no reason, it was the worst to e of my life, no one cares there! To make things worse, staff stole belongings. I fought it and was reimbursed but it took many, many phone calls and emails. I will be hiring an attorney. They should not get away with the abusive care.

My experience at Betty Ford was about amazing as it gets. All staff are very professional and make you feel at peace. My tool box was loaded with knowledge. If I and hope I don’t relapse. But if I do I will return.
