I’d to warn you all about this guesthouse if you decide to visit Udawalawe National Park. We booked a double room there as it was roughly 3 a night, upon arrival everyone seem so nice and helpful and everything looked great, we spent the evening walking around town and had dinner prepared by them with the rest of the guests, later that night we checked reviews for safari tour prices and came across a pretty disturbing one (picture attached) about this person who stayed with them a few weeks back and caught the owner stealing from them. It was late and we had to wake up early so we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and just take a picture of our belongings to check if everything was different after the safari. As we got back we realized someone had gone through them, lucky for us we took our money and documents, had them locked in one of the backpacks and nothing seemed to be missing but as we were about to leave we remembered we left everything in the room the previous night during dinner and my girlfriend checked her wallet only to see she had 5000 Rupees gone. We confronted the owner who barely said a word and gave them back right away. We would’ve liked to report this to the police, however we’re a bit in a rush and had no proof. Do not stay there, avoid that place at all costs (literally). Hope this message helps other travelers;)

We stayed for a night to go to udalawawe national park and had a good stay. Basic it comfortable room with private toilet. No hot shower but it was hot so not to worry. Power ran out when we arrived but came later. We booked the safari with them and it was good with a great value. Nice safari but they driver didn't speak English very well, but he was nice and waited for us while watching the animals. Honest owner as we forgot something in the room and he contacted us. Recommended.

Great place for the price. Super friendly owner, decent rooms and good wifi(!). Breakfast was great and it was not way, way too much like most places.

This is a post from Sri Lanka Scams and your response is warranted as this is a disgrace to all Sri Lankans. Ruben Rockdriguez shared his first post.
