Just what it says on the tin! Lovely view and level pitches. Nice pool and lots of eco friendly touches. Some wifi included but not expensive to buy more which is available across the site. Interesting village only 5 minutes away and a visit to the Chateau is worth it at only 3 Euro.Very Covid aware - reception moved outside.

Lovely campsite situated just below the old chateau from which it's name is derived. Just a few minutes walk up the hill as is the village. The campsite has big pitches mostly under tall trees and bounded by hedges. Good, clean sanitary block, small bar and shop. Managed by young couple who are very welcoming and helpful.

Brilliant site. We are actually still here and felt moved to posting a review. Firstly it's a beautiful location nestled in a gently sloping valley underneath the Castle from which it gets its name. Its also incredibly convenient, as although you feel like you are in the middle of a woodland the site is actually only a 5 minute walk, past the castle to the village, which has everything you may need. The facilities are excellent, clean and easy to access. The pitches have a natural feel which we love. Finally and most importantly, the owners have been very helpful (with immaculate English) , as we arrived with broken tow electrics and my wife needed some non urgent medical attention. They helped me arrange the local garage to fix the car (and followed up on its progress) and booked an appointment at the local medical practice. Superb!

A very quiete camping site. Thom and his wife were friendly and welcoming. Decent enough facilities, but feel as the campsite was relatively full the other ablution block which was blocked off by the owners could have been made available to campers to avoid queueing for showers and toilets, especially in the morning. No hand soap in toilets either, forcing one to take your own with you every time when wanting to use toilets. Lighting on path towards facilities are poor at night and can do with improvements. Lots of local vineyards and Chateauxs to visit. Butchery and Boulangerie were excellent.

I must say this is a lovely campsite. From the minute we arrived we were made feel welcome. We found the owners most helpful and were given a choice of any pitch that was available. The facilities were first class and would have no hesitation in returning again in the future.

Extremely attractive and well run site. Mature trees and pretty shrubs. Very relaxed atmosphere. The owner/managers clearly love their job and take pride in everything here. Spacious pitches with shade, table tennis, swimming pool. Toilets (with paper!), showers and washing up all good. Sensibly what was previously separate facilities for men and women are now shared, to reduce queues and makes cleaning easier for staff. Not listed in Cool Camping, but it could be!
