A shortage of mini carts. Employees using the (3-4) small carts to stock shevels. I asked manager to use. Her response was " Will I remove cardboard boxes. This manager needs to be trained in Customer service satisfaction. Once addressing her poor Customer service. The manager tried to justify her response as " You can't take a joke". I'm not here for jokes. I told her I would file a complaint. The manager walked of feeling confident, as the owners would side with her. 724 location is always customer service friendly. They are better managed and stocked.

The prices are always pennies on the dollar for premium brands. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus, they play great music...cheesy, old school throwbacks but fun! Try Grocery Outlet! You will be pleased!

Grocery stores in the Reading PA area are the worst so why should this little hole in the wall be different. It's hit or miss when finding true bargains. The help is not too bright here especially the ones working the evening shift. Check my photos of the tomatoes. They advertise to shop elsewhere to save 20 cents! Stupid people. I hate to be seen there. Stupid music too. Update 12-2017: Always check your receipt. Some items are scanned wrong and it's a waste of time trying to get a refund. Update 4-7-2019: These stores are getting real bad and run down. The cash register did not work and I walked out. The cashier complained that the register problem happened the day before. This location seem to stop carrying a certain item so I drove to Shillington. They have the item but the store is just as dumpy as the 5th Street location. Make me laugh. One does not SHOP at Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, one SLUMS at these stores.
