Even in takeaway form as it is currently due to the pandemic, Pierreponts is perfect for a quick cup of tea, or a more substantial baguette with a generously sized brownie, flapjack, slice of cake etc.. Service is always friendly and the food is very good - no wonder that at the moment it's quite literally queued around the corner every time we visit (which is often). Thankfully it's rarely a long wait, it just looks it when you're all standing 2m apart... I've not been in for a sit down meal or tried the \home cooked meals\ you can pick up to put in the freezer at home, but I suspect these are no less enjoyable than the more mobile selections. A \must visit\ when in the village.

Friendly staff, fantastic coffee and gorgeous cakes. Interior is quirky, but only take away at the moment. Definitely worth a visit.

The coffee here is delicious. For that reason alone make sure that you stop off here. But more importantly the people who run it are incredible. They have been so resilient throughout this and supportive to the community. They ensure they are as covid secure as possible, they set up services to help those isolating and they help support other businesses.

Good place to get tasty food to fuel your walk along the river Thames or up to the Ridgeway. The quality of the food is excellent and there is a good choice available. Slightly disappointed on last visit that the sandwiches came as rather small baguettes rather than the usual big doorstop bread slices. On that basis it is a bit pricey.
