History come alive. Great guides With a wealth of information and backgrounds. The formal John Wanamaker room is worth millions. Everyone should visit and find out why.

WOW !! Even my fifteen year old through it was cool. This place is definitely worth checking out. 16 and under are free and over 16 is 5. The tour guide was incredible he answered all are questions and then some. The history of fire fighting is really intersting I found. The inside of the building is beautiful with the fancy wood work 19 foot high ceilings and intricately craved furniture and fire place mantle. It is 3 stories of total coolness . Their is only 1 room with air conditioning and it is on the first floor so it does get a little warm on the upper floors but it is worth checking out. Thank you reading fire fighter museum for keeping the history alive you do fantastic job

Love the museum's in Berks County, especially this one, good and accurate historical representation of the duties, lives and environment of generations of EMT and first responders. Be sure to bring the kids, as this is definitely a family friendly environment.

Even if you aren't interested in the history of fire companys, this is still an amazing place to visit. The two gentlemen (Mr. Mike and The Chief) that showed the tour are very knowledgeable and are or at one point were firefighters themselves. The building doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you step through the doors you can see history. This small fire fighter museum has so much history behind it and these two men can tell you all about it. A small fee of 5 for an hour or more of intriguing and rare history is a small amount to pay. Go support this museum and the men who are working to revive it.
