Wonderful place to get outdoors, especially if you love being around water.

If you’re planning a road trip from Calgary going to Edmonton, don’t forget to include Red Deer in your itinerary. It’s a good way to relax you foot from the long drive plus you got to visit this wonderful recreation area.

They recently renovated. And it looks amazing according to my wife. I enjoy the conversations with of the staff members. They are always so accommodating. It’s a great place to skate in the winter, and even better place to hang out in the summer. Plus the yearly geese that come and lay eggs and hang out is always an adventure. I will never stop coming here.

1. When they first put in the geese statue things, I was like, not fully awake, and for a split second thought they were real. I am pretty sure I s#! myself that morning. 2. Movies really play up the gentle and relaxing look of peddle boats. This place shows you the reality of this. It's a WORK OUT. For real, make sure if you do it, you do it on leg day. 3. The geese AKA flying velociraptors are all around here. However it seems like there's this mutual understanding between people and geese here, that this is a no attack zone. Somehow this place has rendered geese ...not Canada's most dangerous animal. 4. Lots of Pokemon GO stops and gyms. If that's still your jam. 5. A squirrel once stalked me around the entire loop. At first is was creepy, but I think I developed a form of Stockholm syndrome, because now we're cool, and even talking about vacationing in Banff. MuddlePuffs (that's obviously his name) is hoping to find a pretty mountain squirrel out there. He's a hopeless romantic like that. 10/10
