I have been a customer of Redmayne for the past 11 years. Without question RM represents the best of Savile Row Tailoring. This tailoring company is the real deal. By provenance they are a Cumbrian tailoring house, with roots stretching back to 1860, but this is also very much a family firm. The head cutter, Thomas Mahon, cut for Anderson and Sheppard, and Prince Charles, and is among the most experienced tailors in the world today. While other firms on the row with this history and pedigree, are a bit, well, crusty, RM is anything but. Tom and Claire, the team behind Redmayne, are delightful, approachable, and friendly. The process of ordering a suit is enjoyable, relaxing, and produces the best of results. The cut, fit and style, are truly bespoke, and while there is a definite house style (think modified drape cut, very limited shoulder structure), Tom works with his clients to make sure their particular tastes are honored. I've lost count at this point of how many Redmayne suits I have, but have shared a couple of pictures for reference. Check these guys out.

It's hard to describe the experience at Redmayne, almost as hard as describing how you feel wearing one of their suits. Both experiences are paramount. Redmayne will make you feel like a million bucks while simultaneously making you feel like part of the family. Tom and Claire are welcoming, kind, funny and generous, both masters of their crafts. Tom cuts with majesty and explains the art of tailoring as well as anyone while Claire exudes a warmth and kindess that permeates the fabric of the clothes themselves. I couldn't recommend Redmayne more, whether it be fore a 3 piece, an overcoat, a shirt or just a cup of tea.

After a decade of periodically seeing Tom when he visits the USA, he has essentially built me a versatile capsule wardrobe of bespoke garments, with guidance along the way on styling and cloth options. And though I don't really need more, I keep going back to Redmayne as it is a great pleasure to reliably receive beautiful, well-fitted, and comfortable clothes. Since the COVID pandemic started, I have been working from home, too often clad in leisurewear. Recently, I decided to wear my Redmayne items at home to break in those that still looked rather new, and to simply enjoy them. For instance, one morning last week, I put on my soft double-breasted blazer, and did a quick turn in front of a mirror. Tom's draped style made the chest look fuller than it really is, with broad lapels narrowing down towards a seemingly narrow waist. Glancing at the back, the cloth had been worked to perfectly follow the S-curve of my spine. All properly buttoned up, I hurriedly sat down at my desk and got to work. It was lunchtime before I realized I was not in an old baggy cardigan! I am giving away all my store-bought suits and sticking with Redmayne's!

I tried several bespoke tailors and Tom and Redmayne made me a suit that fits better than others, while delivering Savile Row quality at a reasonable price. Tom has given me great advice on fabrics, details, etc. and the customer services is superb. I am looking forward to more suits and jackets from them in the future.

My Redmayne suit is the finest feature of my wardrobe. You can really tell the difference in terms of the quality and feel. Being a relative newbie to proper tailoring, I got the benefit of Tom's expert knowledge throughout the process and the service was impeccable, as was the end result. Cumbria is top of the list for destinations once all the madness of this year is over, and I'll definitely be stopping by the Redmayne shop again when I'm there.
