I first came to the Redux Society to participate in some nerdy events about a year ago. (They have a lightsaber combat league, board game nights, and murder mystery parties!) However, I was informed that this place was at least 51% a dance studio and at most 49% a fun, event-having group/theme-and-aesthetic-appreciating society... and soon I got sucked into learning how to dance. This place has great value and the instructors are all knowledgeable and good at teaching, all while being fun and laid back. (That helped take the pressure off because I never in my life thought I’d learn how to dance.) Now that I’m slightly better than a beginner, the classes still teach me new things and they help me progress as I try to become an intermediate level dancer! However, it wasn’t my love of nerdy things or my desire to try new things like dance that kept me coming back here, it was the people. The teachers, students, staff and members are all so kind, understanding, and fun (and also patient with me) that I can’t stop going to these classes and events. I am lucky, because I've become friends with some of the coolest people in Kansas City! :) If you're looking to do nerdy things, play games, go to events, or learn to dance (or any combination of these things), then this is the best place to try.

I LOVE the Redux Society. I went for one of their murder mystery parties and had an absolute blast. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but the open bar helped to loosen everyone up. If you have the chance then please go! You won’t regret it!

Redux Society is a great place to learn Ballroom and Social Dance. Very relaxed atmosphere where you can be comfortable learning. Their events are really fun as well and a great alternative to hitting the bar. #reduxsociety #bringingclass #kcdancenetwork
