This was a medical college that was started but never ‘took off’ (Inspite of being close to Tirupati International Airport!). This institution is an example of commercialisation and corruption in/of medical education in India. People often get confused between this college and another Medical college with the same name about 25 km away near the foot hills of Tirumala. Recently (Dec. 2019) I saw the name of the medical college changed to ‘Sri Balaji Medical College and Research Institute’.
