Can't say enough good things about Fairwood Martial Arts, family owned and operated, they are a long standing part of the community. Sensei Tony had big shoes to fill when he took over from his parents running the dojo. They teach to the students strengths and encourage growth. Our son has progressed thru his learning, achieving more that we ever expected. They are supportive and understanding. Most of the Senseis are teachers outside the dojo and it shows. Thinking about learning martial arts? You wont go wrong with with this group.

These teachers have such great attitudes. My kids (4 and 6) have grown a lot in the 4 months since they started. I appreciate their “mat chats” and making sure that kids understand that virtues are just as important as proper technique and self defense. They have also learned a number of new skills and become more athletic and brave.

I just enrolled my 6 year old son in their beginner classes and he is loving it so far. The instructors are very patient and supportive, which is great because my son can be a hand full some times.

I loved this place. Everyone is so friendly and you get a really good work out with the kickboxing class. I had to stop going cause of school and work, but definitely will go back when my schedules doesn't interfere with the class schedules. I've recommended this place to a couple of my co workers and they've loved it.
