TECTON Property Management in Tukwila Washington is horrible. Mike Jansen and the couple who overseas the property we lived in were unprofessional, no knowledge of the property and when we moved out said we didn't pay last months rent when we did and the previous owners confirmed that we did. They also said they needed to do 3.5 hrs of cleaning when I hired a professional cleaner who was there for six hours. Absolutely the worst people I have ever rented from. Stay away from them and their poor business practices.

This place like all the other comments stated are scammers they have 3 different property management Names tried to evict me when my rents paid in full EARLY! Thank god I kept all my receipts, and I am going to sue this company I already contacted the better business bureau top it they tried to charge me 900 for attorneys fees ON AN UNFILED FALSE EVICTION.ILL Be moving ASAP! Any seeking legal action as u recorded ALL THE PHONE CALLS!!!!

Not only have I had a great experience with my apartment and property - I have also had a great experience with maintenance requests and other unit related things! My rent is a bit under market value, even in a desirable neighborhood with a 98 walk score! Love this rental!

I have been in my apartment going on three years, my rent is going up yet I still have rusted old stove, also in the three years I only signed One lease agreement and that was only for six months! I get paid on the 5th if they even think I’m paying a late fee cause I signed an agreement they are sadly mistaken by law not in writing and nothing for me to sign no Legal leg to stand on.

Stay Away, you can thank me later for this. Absolute worst experience I have had as a renter. Property manager is beyond unprofessional and hard to deal with. Maintenance requests only happen if you are annoyingly persistent. Half of the ones we requested at move in were never done or addressed by Tecton. Be very careful when signing a lease, we were charged for an extra month at the end of our lease, when we called to ask questions about it the receptionist was rude and condescending. We stayed at the Kandilla Townhouses, the area is terrible (was told how safe and family friendly it was). There are broken liquor bottles outside of complex almost daily, we had several hostile run in’s with homeless people who set up camp behind the townhomes inbetween the highway and had to stop walking our dog on the sidewalks in front of the property because of all the gang activity and hypodermic needles that littered the grassy areas in front. Terrible living experience and even worse experience dealing with the Property Management.

If I could give zero stars for this horrible company I would!! For anyone thinking about renting from Tecton corporation at The Beacon Apartments, please for your own sake, look somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. These fine people really have no idea how to run apartment complexes. I’ve lived here for about 31 days now and it has been nothing but a nightmare, from dealing with rude and inconsiderate landlords, to having multiple issues with the apartment I’m staying in. I don’t even know where to begin. First they told me the apartment is ready to move into, then we try to take a shower and the drain is full of drywall and the water doesn’t drain. I thought the place was move in ready?! I inform my landlord and she tells me “we have to rip out your sink and drywall to fix the issue.” Then, our washer and dryer weren’t properly set up and would shake so bad that they would move about a foot forward. We couldn’t properly wash our clothes for about 5 days. Then to top it all off, we have been trying to get WiFi in our apartment for about the entire length of our stay and still to no avail. Turns out the geniuses at Tecton decided it would be beneficial to rip out all the internet cables in the WHOLE building, yet I was told there was internet before I moved in. I am still waiting on a reply from my landlord to see if they’re going to fix it or not. If I knew all the hidden issues with this slum, I would’ve never moved in. Take my advice. LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! I was a tenent at the Jet Vista Apartments in Renton, Wa, where management added the previous renters late fees to my account. They would put 3 day pay or vacate notices on my door even when rent was fully paid, and when I would try to get information about what was happening, they would respond in a short, rude and down right disrespectful manner. There last account manager who handled their books was fired for reasons which probably relate to incompetent bookkeeping, and their new manger named, "Nicole Haviland" is even worse. Don't try to get the truth from this one because she's a real "breath of fresh air". She actually incorrectly over charged my account by 2000.00 and when I'd call to inquire about it, she was rude, would always cut me off/ over talk me and even hang up. This company does not care about establishing and maintaining good practice relationships with their tenents and it seems as if their running some sort of nefarious scam that adds fees to their renters accounts without them knowing. Tecton Corporation and their Apartment complex called, "Jet Vista" is seedy and a definite no. So if you want to take a chance on loosing money and having to deal with crooks then go choose one of their locations, but don't say you weren't warned.
