Dr. Mook is very kind and gentle. He explains the results very easily for one to understand. He has treated my young child and my teenager. Both were treated with care. When we get him laughing it's a great visit!! Very fortunate to find a trustworthy doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Mook for the last 3 years, originally for my teenaged son’s torn rotator cuff. He did amazing work on his repair. Both my daughter and I have seen Dr. Mook for knee issues. I had an accidental fall, and my knee was not getting better. Dr. Mook did not hesitate to order an MRI, to ensure that there wasn’t something more serious with ligaments and cartilage. He is honest and upfront about what he recommends, which is not always surgery, which I love. He also seems to have an incredible memory, and a really good bed-side manner.

I had a very positive experience at OrthoVA. The first orthopedist whom I saw was honest and stated that he could not perform the surgery that I needed. Even after spending 15 min with me, he was able to speak with Dr Mook, who was kind enough to see me the same day despite not having an appointment with him. I found Dr Mook to be knowledgeable, kind, thorough, patient and flexible. He was able to get me scheduled for surgery very quickly and the pre-op, operative day and post-op periods were all run smoothly. My recovery has been much less painful than I anticipated, and I attribute that to Dr Mook’s surgical technique. Overall, despite having a severe leg injury, I am quite happy with OrthoVA, particularly Dr Mook. I felt very comfortable and confident in his hands.
