Lovely traditional local pub which made a lovely stop for tea during a walk on the canal. We both chose from the night's specials, but my partner asked for ham and egg to be served with salad instead of chips and his eggs poached. The eggs were perfect and the ham very lean, we were impressed. They were huge platefuls and we could probably have fed 5! Seemed a friendly crowd on both sides of the bar.

Love this place. Good home cooked food and friendly staff. I'd reccomend the hunters chicken and homemade onion rings.

Cosy village pub. Didn't eat but the food looked and smelled gorgeous. Good selection of beers and superb friendly service.

Great atmosphere and an open fire makes for a lovely environment to sit and have a drink with family and friends. Dog friendly too! The staff are fantastic - very helpful and understanding. I have a few food intolerances and the need to have food prepared or served that isn't contaminated was fully understood without me having to go into too much detail. Unfortunately the home-made chips (which looked great) are cooked in the same fryer as breaded or battered items (breaded brie was on the menu for example) but they were more than happy to replace chips with freshly cooked new potatoes or home-made mashed potatoes and vegetables without butter or sauces on them. Beautifully cooked fish with great mushy peas for dinner and the house wine was good too. Excellent service with a smile, lovely food at a reasonable price and a wonderful atmosphere. We booked a table as it's a small village pub and it has the feeling of being the kind of place you are always welcome. Thank you for a couple of wonderful evenings to the staff - both front and back of house. Very much looking forward to coming back again soon!
