Very friendly staff. I got a chin wax, sshhhhh. The price was very reasonable the service was hygienic, painless (as much as it could be) and a stellar job. They are an actual full service salon. It was easy free street parking. The salon was clean and beautifully decorated. I completed a cash payment once and an electronic payment. The staff was equipped with Covid-19 precautions (mask and social distancing). I will return and I recommend.

My daughter has thick curly hair, Estella has been the best stylist we have found. She’s extremely knowledgeable in curls, products and everyday maintenance. We had an issue where Estella wasn’t in and saw someone else who I won’t name because I don’t blame her for the mishap. The cut was messed up and the salon was very quick to get her back in with Estella when she returned, refunded my money and were extremely polite and professional. Highly recommend this salon for your hair needs!

For my cousin's Bachelorette party, I sent her, one of her local bridesmaids and her mom to The Retreat for mani/pedis. From the beginning, the service was great. The receptionists and managers were incredibly helpful at getting this event planned and off the ground, especially because we were working from 12 hours apart (Rhode Island calling and organizing in Virginia). They were very attentive of the fact that the girls would have appointments after theirs, and we all worked together to ensure that they would have the fullest and best experience possible! The girls all raved about their experience at The Retreat! They said that the nail tech's were personable, fun, bubbly and on task. They also stated that the spa was very clean and safe with the current pandemic climate. The managers and reception staff also made sure that my cousin received her extra gift card from my husband and I so that she could return before her wedding for a relaxing massage, and she can't wait to go back! Thank you so much to everyone at The Retreat for helping get this day off and running! If I had been able to attend in person I am sure I would have loved this experience, but with Covid and very young children at home this wasn't possible. Next time that I can safely visit my cousin in Virginia I will be sure to make a stop! :)

The staff at Retreat are all nice and professional people. I was greeted with a warm welcome and given superb service. And then I met Monica. She is amazing! It was my first time and she made me feel so comfortable. She talked me through the process and the aftercare. I am definitely returning in 4 weeks to maintain.
