Beware of eye exams with masks on. I kept fogging up all the tools used in my eye exam, which made it extremely difficult to feel like I was getting a proper exam. Examiner had minimal people skills in realizing this and accommodating accordingly.

1) Dr. Crooks is NOT knowledgeable. He does NOT know that during pregnancy and breastfeeding women's vision temporary worsens. As a result, he doesn't take into the account that the vision just temporary changes during pregnancy and he prescribed me TOO strong contacts. I had a horrible headache after wearing them just for a few hours and had to come to him a few times to adjust my prescription. He charged me for the next visits!!! 2) Dr. Crooks insists on coming again to his office after he gives you \trial\ contact lenses and doesn't give you contact lenses prescription right away. Thus, you must come again to his office after \trying\ contacts for a few days. As a result, he charges you twice for two office visits 30 each if you have insurance like me. Basically, he is milking your insurance. 3) According to MA law, all optometrist must provide for free the full information on the glasses prescription, in particular the distance between pupils for glasses (PD). Without it, you can not order glasses online (in Dr. Crooks office, the same glasses cost TWICE more). I had to call to his office to ask for PD and the receptionist says that Dr. Crooks never specifies PD on glasses prescription even though he measures it.

As compare to other providers felt complete satisfied, with reference to Dr. time spent, time to discuss with patient and selection of glasses. I felt Pearl Vision took care of my eyes by annual reminder, appointment, discount in items.

I had a through eye exam, most of the time wearing my mask. I felt safe, and was pleased with the eye exam.
