I spent one week at Care for Wild through ACE in January 2020 and absolutely love this agency! They were patient with helping me get prepared to go on my trip, answering any and all questions. I always felt safe on my trip and had the best time in South Africa! I can’t wait to plan another trip hopefully next year.

I took part in a 3 week placement at Care for Wild that was organized by ACE. Amazing experience from start to finish. The communication by phone and email during the planning process was great, the staff were very helpful. I felt very taken care of from the ACE team the whole way through. In terms of the actual experience at Care for Wild, I can’t say enough good things. Diving into an experience with like minded people who actually care about wildlife was refreshing and extremely rewarding. I took this trip by myself and met some awesome other volunteers who became friends. The staff make you feel very at home and you feel apart of a family working toward the same common goal - wildlife conservation and saving the rhino specifically. If you live life with purpose and are looking for a fulfilling experience with memories to last forever, the choice to dive into something like this is certainly the right one. I assure you, you won’t regret it.

ACE gave me the most amazing experience I've ever had in my life! I volunteered at the Phinda research project and I loved it. Everyone I met while I was there was so nice, funny, smart and so helpful. You won't find better people anywhere else in the world. Being at Phinda was more fun and amazing than I can even put into words, it's easily the most beautiful place on the planet. Mostly because of all the life on the reserve as well as the unbelievable scenery. I urge everyone to volunteer with ACE. They have a great team of people and being a part of the work is so rewarding.

This is the second time I travel with ACE and it has been another great experience. From the start I had great help and guidance planning my trip from the office and the moment I landed in South Africa I was picked up and well taken care of. This time I went to Fish Eagle Wildlife Services and Care For Wild. Two very different and amazing experiences where you get to work hands on with the animals after a proper intruction from the talented and patient staff. I worked with a dedicated conservation team who gave me an experience of a life time.

My experience with ACE was absolutely incredible and unforgettable I cannot say enough good things about them! I traveled with my Dad and it was truly the trip of a lifetime for both of us. I was in the middle of a career change, I was really struggling with feeling stuck and wanting to do more to help our world and the animals in it. My Dad had always wanted to travel abroad but had never gotten the opportunity before. I had limited funds and time that I could take off but ACE really helped match me to an experience that I would get the most out of. All of the staff was extremely helpful and kind and I am so thankful for them. ACE recommended that we do the Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary experience. In our week at the sanctuary I got to be very hands on, I learned so much more than I imagined and it really helped me gain the experience and knowledge I needed to help launch me into my new career journey. I also want to add if anyone is nervous about traveling and staying safe ACE made it so easy! They helped us book a hotel that had a free direct shuttle to and from the airport, and Martin meets you at the airport and is always available if you need anything, it really took a lot of stress off. Thank you ACE for everything!

My 18 year old daughter spent 6 weeks at the African Conservation Experience. This was really a life changing time for her. Her passion for conservation and helping animals was greatly increased. The support of the staff was absolutely incredible. My daughter had some medical issues while she was there and the staff were so great in helping work through all that. I absolutely recommend this experience!!!

Had a great experience at Care For Wild through ACE. I was initially set to go to South Africa for a week and then Botswana for 2 weeks... however, I had a bit of bad luck and needed medical treatment during my first week there. ACE was there to help through the entire process and rearranged my entire itinerary on the spot as well as set up various insurance claims for me. They made it clear that they care for their participants as much as they care for the wildlife they're trying to conserve.
