We had never fished before and my dad wants to learn to fish salmon now that he retired. We were a little nervous as we had no idea what to ask and buy. We told Kevin our intentions (staff who works there) and he was very friendly and patience at the get go, he spent a least an hour showing us around the different tools my dad would need. He didn't try to \up sell\ us the fancy gears, he would recommend durable and easy to operate gears for my dad. Kevin wants my dad to enjoy the sport and not to overspend in the beginning. One of the Japanese cast only came in the right hand wheel, Kevin recommended my dad to go for the entry level left hand cast at 1/3 of the price, and told us the cast comes with 1 year warranty, happy to take it back should it not work within the first year. He also showed my dad how the whole set up operates and explained the pros and cons on the many different techniques. Overall, this place is full of resources with very friendly / helpful staffs. Happy to come back and upgrade our equipments for the many years to come.

It’s a bit out of my way but this shop has got soul. The service is great, the business is part of the community. Very importantly for me I am a carp fisherman, this business knows what that means, and I don’t get those derisive looks. Berry’s stocks carp tackle. Support your local tackle shop ! Great selection of tackle & gear, knowledgeable staff. If your not sure of the tackle you need or how to use for the best chance of catching fish, just ask. I've used Berry's for years and never had a bad experience in the store, always helpful staff & reasonable prices.
Berrys is a great bait shop and they have great staff. They really know what they're talking about and are very helpful. They have pretty much any saltwater gear you'd need, and a fair bit of freshwater tackle.
