Wouldn't recommend opening an account with this branch. They are lovely when you set up a meeting and if you can abide by there opening hours but today is the second time ive been turned away 25 minutes before closing. Both times just wishing to cash a check...

Reading through some of the reviews, I felt unsure whether it was the same Branch lthat I visited last Friday, 17th July 2020. Admittedly although they were welcoming and courteous as they opened the door, I were to find quite quickly the staff member who I was spoken to was absolutely useless and unable to come up with any answers to any of my questions. I only wanted some advise regarding the alerts I keep getting on my current account even when I was nowhere near a debit balance. His answer was simply that he cannot help! Even after suggesting to check with a senior member of staff, he came back saying nothing could be done. I expressed my dismay particularly as I am a customer for a long time. As I turned to leave I said to this staff, an Asian man of about 55 years, that if this was the way they treat someone who was with them for nearly 30 years, this Bank is destined for doom. His response before shut the door was ' You have said that 100 times!'. A Bank with the right Gratitude and right manners indeed! I am now making the customary steps to leave Royal Bank of Scotland after 29 years 8 months. (There! I said 101 times!!)
Such a pleasant experince visiting this branch - and that is not true of every branch of RBS in my experience. Very helpful staff particulary the man on the door, Brian. He showed me how to use the machine where you can pay invoices with a cheque which saves having to wait until a cashier is free.
Not everyday i leave a review for a bank but i had to after the excellent service i got from the staff there. Was annoyed at the long queue in the branch but the person at the front desk - Alina was very helpful and showed me how to deposit a cheque without me having to queue up. Also booked me an app with a Mr Khan to discuss a new mortgage product which i hadn't even thought about. Wish every bank had helpful staff like this...
Another wasted trip to the Richmond upon Thames branch. The staff here are friendly and do their best, the problem is that there are simply not enough of them. The tellers always appear tied up with banking questions and queries, usually by clients with foreign based accounts. This means an inexcusable wait to make a simple pay in or make a cash withdrawal. Its not acceptable.
