I've been admitted several times due to anxiety. The first time was because of a panic attack. I had an accelerated heart rate and was not coherent what so ever. On my next visit one of the nurses told me all the staff and even doctor that took care of me that night had made fun of me which is not professional at all. On other occasions I go because my blood pressure sky rockets and it's not stabilized before leaving, instead I get talked down to as if I'm dumb or a child. On top of it all I've lost circulation in my left arm several times making it go blue and have squeezing pains and every time they tell me, \I don't know\ instead of looking into it. They constantly slap \anxiety\ onto every problem I have without further looking because I have anxiety. Even when I know I'm not having an anxiety attack or anxious. They let EMS patients go first into the ER other than patients who have been waiting over an hour to go back. If I could give 0 stars I would. Never will I go back to this hospital ever again, no matter what emergency I'm having. It's not all the doctors or nurses, it's mainly ER.

I've been here multiple times. Mainly because it is the only one in town. Service is hit or miss. Usually not a good experience. Over the years things have not improved. When I was pregnant and they had to induce me they never turned me on my side or rotated once during the twelve hours. The only bright spot was the gentleman who did my epidermal did an excellent job.. I had to have an episiotomy when I went into labor. Later that night I was in a lot of pain and asked for pain medication. The nurse was very rude and told me that \just because you can have pain medication doesn't mean you should.\ I was so mad and insulted. Terrible experience and more painful than it needed to be. Other nurses in the mother baby unit were a little better but I was glad when I got to leave because I wasn't treated like I was a criminal when they were ready for me to leave. When I had exploratory surgery there to find the cause of my abdominal pain they used something that wasn't clean because I had a nosocomial infection within a day and I had not touched or changed the dressing on my incision site. My stomach became hard and even turned purple. I went back to have them fix it because the pain was so unbearable. They did take responsibility but there was no apology. There have been times when I needed to go to the hospital and was treated with respect but the nasty times greatly outweigh the good. Things have been getting better at the hospital and they do have some good people working there but there is definitely a difference in how you get treated based on who is working at the time.

I am here to give an opposing critique to all the haters of Reid Hospital. I have multiple health issues and was very concerned after I moved here and I read all the negative reviews on-line. However, I have had zero issues with the staff there. Dr. Tamhane and his staff are excellent. Dr. Quraishi and his staff are superb. The lab got me in and out in an expedient manner and were very pleasant to work with. My husband just had to have a hernia repaired and his gallbladder removed and his surgeon was also professional and did an excellent job. So to people worried about all the negative reviews, wait and experience the place yourselves, I assure you it's an excellent hospital.

If any place on the planet deserved a 0 star review, it's this place. Every single time I have been taken there I am treated with disrespect, treated like a dope fiend looking to score drugs, and generally shown a lack of decency by staff both nurse and doctor alike. This place judges the book by the cover and after they read it they throw it at you. If need medical assistance and can make it to another one of the surrounding areas, I highly suggest going there instead

I fell and my daughter took me into emergency at Reid Health Campus. Around 5:00 p.m. things were busy but I was seen in a timely manner, thoually examined, and given the needed care till I could see Orthopedics. No complaints.
