When I needed emergency repairs to my prescription spectacles, I was far from my home (North Island) and needed to ask for assistance from a local outfit - went into Specsavers in Richmond near Nelson, and was given exceptional service; repairs were done with professional level skills and my staff lady was so helpful. The price was ridiculously affordable. I am one very happy customer, and will look for my nearest Specsavers up where I live. HIGHLY recommended to all :-)

Very disappointed with the service today. I asked the staff if they could just put a screw in two pairs of my husbands glasses. Sorry too busy yet standing around not looking busy. In the end after some insistence from me being given two screws to put in myself( which they said might not fit and if too long cut off with a pair of pliers. What?) they did one pair not the other after I told them how disgraceful it was to expect me to do that. It took all of one minute for them to do this one pair. Finally i don’t expect the staff to tell me they fully understand my situation, when I explained I had to get back to my husband who has Parkinsons, they have no idea about my situation. Good customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Several years of professional service at both the Nelson, and the Richmond, Specsavers. I have had new spectacles made up, and also they reconditioned my favourite photo-chromatics to as-new condition. Very reasonable pricing, in my opinion. I have no better recommendation than my continued repeat custom.

Decided to replace my old prescription, and was tested at this shop in Richmond Mall. The process was very well organised, and the machinery they have there is Star Wars ! My eyes needed new lenses, and the shop helped me select frames that I really like. All this was simple, fuss-free, and pleasant for me, as an older person, to experience. My staff was a young girl who seemed genuinely interested and she knew an awful lot about the subject. I'm really pleased with the glasses, and hope others can benefit from my trust in the store.

The group of girls there were more interested in trying on glasses and gossiping than they were serving customers. Service has gone downhill significantly since I was last here three years ago, and I walked out without getting my glasses tightened.
