This place has one of the worst fish ‘n’ chips takeaways in New Zealand. Some of the food I ordered was greasy and oily and they did not drain any excess oils from when they pulled it out of the deep fryer. The sausages were pink and soft when cooked and I got food poisoning from the sausage so this place needs to sort out its hygiene levels or close down from the council.

We ate here on Sunday early in the evening when the shop was pretty quiet. Very friendly staff. They offer meal packs as well. We chose to wait outside and were really pleasantly surprised when they walked out of the shop and handed us our chips! The food was very tasty and not overly greasy which is a change from our regular. Fish tasted great and hotdog was a good size too. If your tastes run that way there's a pub next door as well.
