This is a nice place for a quick overnight due to highway noise. But....you should know I saw a truck ram through a guardrail in the Columbia Gorge and go right in the river. There is a spot in the park where if you stay you could be on the river side of that truck. Long shot, yea, but it only passes your mind once you are in one of them back lots then in the morning when you see a vehicle has gone through that fence where it could happen! I don’t think I’d go to dump station if I had a big rig either. But it does work well. This is a pretty place and well maintained. I also saw these little baby’s right on the skinny park road!

So we will start with the positive! The grounds are actually very scenic, and they are kept up. The bathrooms were clean, and the Park staff were around and helpful. Now for the fun stuff. The state park is located right off of I-5, and extremely loud. Unless you have your fan on high to drown out the noise, good luck sleeping! Other reviews I read also mentioned certain residents looking like they were there long term, or having issues with squatters. This actually proved to be true! We had a fifth wheel across from us (looked like a camp host or long term living), with a tow truck present. Thinking nothing of it, a lady came to our trailer asking us to tow her fifth wheel 20 minutes down the road. She said she didn't have money for the tow, but could pay us 100 because she saw our \hitch\ and knew that we could tow her. I felt uneasy as soon as I opened the door and sketched out from the random cars coming from that site. We declined, and a couple hours later the fifth wheel was being towed out of the park. Next, if you have a big rig be aware the roads are narrow, and some of these sites in the beginning of the loop are tight. We booked site 3, and it said it could fit a rig up to 40 ft. We are 36 ft and had a heck of a time backing it in due to the lack of space and trees. There are a couple towards the end which our family were in, I believe 15,16 and 17 which looked to fit their bigger motorhomes just fine! Overall, we wouldn't recommend this for long stays. The only time I would ever consider it was if I needed somewhere to sleep for one night. It's unfortunate because the staff and the grounds were actually really great, but the proximity to I-5 ruined it all for us.

If you don't mind the noise from the freeway overpass, it's a great place to visit. Close by to Battle Ground, Washington. I really had a good time here. There is a fantastic 9 hole Disc course here as well. I would definitely visit again.

Lots of green grass, trees and space between sites at this campground. I didn't get a chance to explore their trails - next visit! The sites can be a bit tricky to back in to as I saw big trucks and trailers using the grass opposite their site to get in. Tons of freeway noise as I5 is just off the west side. I could see vehicles from my site. But that noise doesn't bother me too much and I was able to sleep through it just fine.

A sketchy looking woman asked me to tow her 5th wheel out of the park late at night. Then a tow company showed up at 1am and spent almost 2 hours hooking it up and dragging it out of the mud. Combined with being about 2 hundred feet from the pounding I-5 traffic, I would definitely not camp at this location again. However..the lower sites (no hookups) are a lot quieter.
