What a great experience ! Highly recommend checking out the vault below with tons of artifacts. Surprised how big the house is inside.

Knowledgeable, dedicated staff and volunteers. Full of interesting stories about Ridgefield history and historical people. The house is one of the oldest in the area. Check their website for events, there is always something to do.

The Ridgefield Historical Society is a community based group who are dedicated to keeping alive and documenting the rich, 300 History of the Town of Ridgefield and its surrounds. They are making a good, searchable online collection - the building they are in is a charming preservation - and they can help you with a walking tour of the mainstreet in Town. This is not like going to Williamsburg, or Sturbridge - but for those who are interested in the New England British and European settlement period - this is a very good resource. It is probably not a great place for young children - but more for adult history buffs
