Very surreal experience! This is a breathtaking attraction that pictures won’t do justice. The statue is an amazing sculpture in person and truly one of the new 7 wonders of the world. If you are ever in Rio, this is a MUST see!!! I recommend taking water bottles, sunglasses and sunscreen if you are fair skinned like me! There are also cool shops and snack bars to indulge in as well!

and around 11 am, the sky finally opened up and we could enjoy the view. The place always has a lot of people, but nothing prevents you from making the perfect photo. Enjoy all angles and keep the experience in your heart.

Impressive place, incredible views on Rio. It's an unforgettable experience which makes you humble when you see the surroundings. If you're looking to get nice pictures (I know it's not the most important thing, but...), I'd recommend to go in the first part of the day when the sun is shining on the statue's front side

CHRIST THE REDEEMER of RIO DE JANIERO , BRAZIL is one of the most spectacular highlights of Brazil. It is so popular that one should never miss when visiting Brazil. I was so lucky that i was able to have the most beautiful weather to shot pictures and make videos. The only problem was the place was so crowded and lots of stand by tourists staying longer at the top. So, it caused congestion within the small space and the people are not moving anymore. Advisable not to go there on high season. However its worth a visit and you will have a deep breath-taking unforgettable experience to see the picturesque panorama of Brazil.

There is a statue of Christ established in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which is considered as the second largest art deco statue in the world The statue is 39.6 meters long and 30 meters wide with its 9.5 meter base. It weighs 635 tonnes and is located 700-meters from the top of the Corcovado Mountains in Tijuca Forest National Park, overlooking the entire city. It is one of the tallest statues of its kind in the world. This statue has become an identity of Rio and Brazil as a symbol of Christianity.

We caught a great weather in the morning, also, we recommend people visiting in the morning, otherwise they might caught clouds coming over and see almost nothing. We took an Uber from Ipanema to Cristo Redentor and it only cost us around 46 which is around 8 almost 9 for a 40 min ride. We purchased our tickets online, the website was asking for some legal papers that only Brazilians have as citizens. To be honest I dont know why they ask for that for purchasing some online tickets but the good thing is that we were able to pass through the entrance without anybody asking us to show them these particular papers. Ticket price ranges from 68.5 Reals off season to 83.5 on season. There are two railways, one going up and one coming down from the mountain. You will be taken uphill by a trail with a couple of stops along the way. We recommend sitting on the left side while being going up. Once we reached the top, we took an elevator for like 2-3 floors and we reached Christ the redeemer. The views are breathtaking. It is totally worth the trip and the money spent!

Christ The Redeemer in Brazil. It’s a big statue on a mountain - it’s 1 of the things Brazil is famous for & reflects its historically Catholic dominant culture. This place gives you a wonderful experience in life. visit Big Brazilian Jesus some day...
